SFL Round 4 A Grade Women 2024

G’day, footy fans! Southern Football League (SA) Round 4 A Grade Women 2024 was an absolute belter!

We had everything from stunning upsets to edge-of-your-seat finishes, with players putting on a show for the ages. The reigning champs got a reality check, and a few underdogs proved they’re here to shake things up. The Shoes really got their laces tied together, tripping over themselves as the Cobras slithered to victory.

The Shoes were looking to turn their season around at the Noarlunga Oval, but the Cobras had other ideas. Emily Risitano was an absolute legend, booting 5 goals and leading Cove to a massive 100-6 shellacking over Noarlunga.

From the get-go, Cove dominated, leaving Noarlunga scrambling. The Cobras kept the pressure on throughout the game, and by the final siren, they’d cemented their spot at the top of the ladder. Meanwhile, Noarlunga stayed rooted at the bottom, still hunting for their first win.

Over at Flagstaff Hill, the Falcons came out strong against the Wineflies. It was a back-and-forth battle that had the crowd roaring. Despite Flagstaff Hill’s early lead, Reynella clawed their way back, and in the final moments, they snatched a thrilling 40-39 victory.

The Falcons started off like a house on fire, but the Wineflies buzzed back into the game by halftime. The see-saw battle continued, with the Falcons regaining the upper hand in the third quarter. In a thrilling final showdown, Reynella swooped in and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, leaving the Falcons and their fans stunned in a nail-biter. Jessica Couch put in a stellar performance for the Falcons, ending the match with 4 goals.

With this win, Reynella is 3rd on the ladder, while Flagstaff Hill is 4th.

The Cockledivers had home ground advantage against the Hawks, and boy, did they make it count! Port Noarlunga absolutely demolished Hackham, with Carli Morton kicked 4 goals and Charli Faulkner chipped in with 3, securing a 97-2 victory for Port Noarlunga.

Port Noarlunga came out swinging, and by halftime, they’d built an insurmountable lead. The Hawks managed to put some points on the board in the final quarter, but it was too little too late.

The Cockledivers’ dominant performance leaves them 2nd on the ladder, while Hackham is in 6th place.

The Southern Football League (SA) Round 4 A Grade Women 2024 was a real beaut, with shockers and thrillers aplenty. Cove A Grade Women are sitting pretty at the top, but if this round taught us anything, it’s that nothing’s set in stone in this comp.
