G’day, footy fans! SFL Round 6 B Grade Men 2024 was an absolute belter!

Footy fans were treated to a weekend of thrilling victories and standout performances. Flagstaff Hill continued their dominance, sitting pretty at the top, while Happy Valley and Port Noarlunga solidified their places with impressive wins.

Christies Beach copped a thrashing from the top dogs, and the Wineflies secured a hard-fought victory over the Thunderers. Noarlunga showed their class with a clinical performance against Aldinga. It was a round with everything, keeping fans on the edge of their seats and eager for more.

The Cobras faced off against the Cockledivers, and it was a ripper of a game ending in a dominant 100-44 win for Porties!

Port Noarlunga’s Darcy Warman booted four, with Dwayne Sim and Joseph Butterworth each adding 2 goals to the tally.

Cove tried to fight back, but the Cockledivers’ defence was tighter than a fish’s backside. The real star for Cove was Corey Nesbitt, who snagged 5 goals like it was a walk in the park, but it wasn’t enough to bridge the gap.

Port Noarlunga’s teamwork and strategy were spot on, and Cove, now sitting in 8th, have a bit of hard yakka ahead.!

Flagstaff Hill continued their reign of terror, giving Christies Beach an absolute flogging, 117-1. The Falcons were unstoppable from the get-go, with a blistering first quarter that saw them up by 45 points. Bradley Scott and Jake Bunworth each bagged 2 goals.

Despite the Saints’ efforts, they couldn’t lay a glove on the Falcons, ending the game with just one solitary behind!

Flagstaff Hill remains top of the ladder, looking more unbeatable than ever, and despite the drubbing, Christies Beach is still in the hunt for a finals berth.

In a high-scoring contest, the Vikings outlasted the Emus in a thrilling display of footy. Morphett Vale started strong, but despite the Emus’ early efforts, Happy Valley’s relentless attack turned the tide in their favour 90-62.

The Vikings, led by forward Jack Turner, who scored four goals, took control in the second half. Alan Singh was also impressive for Happy Valley, adding three goals to the tally.

Morphett Vale put in a valiant effort but couldn’t keep up with Happy Valley’s pace and precision. Lee Williams booted 3 goals for the Emus. Jordan Dinnin snagged himself two.

The Vikings remain in 2nd place, while Morphett Vale stays in 9th, needing to regroup and refocus for the upcoming rounds.

The Wineflies and the Thunderers went toe-to-toe at Reynella Oval, and it was a ripper of a match, with Reynella bagging the win 66-44.

Zach Reekie was the star of the show, booting 3 goals and leading the charge. Patrick Davies and William Turner each snagged 2 goals.

Ironbank’s William Muirden found the big posts twice, but Ironbank just couldn’t keep up with Reynella throughout the whole game.

The Wineflies celebrated a hard-fought victory, climbing to 6th on the ladder, while the Thunderers, still in 7th, will need to pull their socks up for the next match. Cheers to a cracking game of footy!

The Shoes hosted the Sharks at Noarlunga Oval and put on a clinic, winning 89-36.

Noarlunga dominated from start to finish, with Simon Dean spearheading the effort, booting 4 goals. Nathan Risitano was also in top form, adding 3 goals to the tally, while Chris Minns and Talen Freeman each snagged 2 goals, ensuring the scoreboard kept ticking over.

The Sharks couldn’t keep up with the Shoes’ relentless pace throughout the game. Jason Fallon top-scored for Aldinga, scoring two goals.

Noarlunga, now in third place, showed they were there to compete for a finals berth, while the Sharks remain in 10th and need to find some serious form. ​
